Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 November 2026
This policy explains what personal data Rostercrest collects, why, and what your rights are. We keep it short and in plain English. If anything is unclear, email privacy@rostercrest.com.
Who we are
Rostercrest is run by Aiden Vizer, trading as Rostercrest, in the United Kingdom. We are the "controller" of your personal data under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
Contact: privacy@rostercrest.com
What this policy covers right now
Rostercrest has not launched yet. Today, the only personal data we collect is through this website and its waitlist. We describe below what the platform will collect when it launches, and we will update this policy before any of that data is collected.
Waitlist and website
| What we collect | Why | Legal basis |
|---|---|---|
| Your email address and whether you're a player or a scout | To tell you when Rostercrest opens and send launch news | Your consent |
| The date you joined and your country (worked out from your connection, not your exact location) | To plan where to launch first and to spot spam sign-ups | Our legitimate interest in running the waitlist |
| Emails you send us | To reply to you | Our legitimate interest in answering messages |
We keep waitlist data until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, and no longer than 12 months after launch. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing privacy@rostercrest.com or using the unsubscribe link in any email.
This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google's servers when you visit.
When Rostercrest launches
When the platform opens, we expect to collect the following. This section will be updated with full details before launch.
- Game account data. When you link your Riot account through Riot Sign On, we receive your Riot ID, account identifier, rank and match history from Riot's official API. We use it to show verified stats on your profile. Your Riot ID is hidden by default. We never see your Riot password.
- Profile details you choose to add, such as a display name, roles, region and when you play.
- Age check. We check every player's age at sign-up using a specialist age-check provider. We receive the result (for example "13–17" or "18+"), not a copy of your ID or face scan.
- Chat messages. Messages are scanned automatically to block personal details such as phone numbers, addresses and social handles. Flagged chats may be reviewed by a person to keep players safe.
- Payments for paid plans are handled by our payment provider. We don't see or store your full card details.
- Scouting. Only players who switch on "Visible to scouts" can be found by scouts and organisations, and you can switch it off at any time. Scouts see your profile and verified stats, never your contact details.
- Scouts. If you sign up as a scout, we check your identity with an ID-check provider and confirm the organisation you work for. You can also add a basic DBS check, which we record as passed or not passed.
- Parents and guardians. Players aged 13–17 give a parent or guardian's email address. That parent or guardian receives a copy of any message a scout sends the player, and must approve trials and any contact outside Rostercrest.
Game data is never sold, and it is deleted when you unlink your account or delete your profile.
Children
Rostercrest is for people aged 13 and over. Players aged 13–17 are kept in a separate lobby for finding teammates and can't share their Riot ID. They can choose to be visible to verified scouts, but a parent or guardian is copied into every scout message and must approve any trial or contact outside Rostercrest. If we learn that someone under 13 has given us their data, we will delete it.
Who we share data with
We don't sell your data. We use a small number of service providers who process data for us under contract:
- Cloudflare hosts this website, stores the waitlist and forwards our email.
- Resend sends our emails.
- Google provides our business email inbox.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. When they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision. We may also share data if the law requires it.
Keeping your data safe
We use secure, encrypted connections, two-factor sign-in on our accounts, and only collect what we need.
Your rights
You have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, object to how we use it, restrict how we use it, take a copy of it, and withdraw your consent at any time. To use any of these rights, email privacy@rostercrest.com. We'll reply within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when anything changes and show the date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll email waitlist members.
